Izavel - Dallas' Next Must have Designer

We came back to the hotel for a final Q&A session with Isabel Varela, an up and coming designer and LSU alumni.  She has just finished a stint as artist-in-residence at the Fairmont Dallas and is in the process of launching her own line, Izavel.  Isabel talked about how she got her start interning for BCBG Max Azaria, doing wardrobe for films, and studying studio art, as well as about how she made the connections and contacts she needed to come out of school and start her own line.  Previously she launched a line with a friend, Varela+Brooks, but has since gone solo with her own creations.  She also brought several pieces from one of her previous lines to show.  (They were GORGEOUS!)  We asked even more questions and took a group pic (below) before heading out to Northpark Mall to see, eat and shop, shop, shop some more!
