Game Day Fashion

I hope everyone has been having a good semester so far! Football season has been the highlight of pretty much every student's school career for a long time and there's always so much fashion to be seen since everyone wants to look their best on gameday. At this past tailgate before the "white-out" MSU vs. South Alabama game, I scouted out well-put-together outfits and rising trends among the crowd and here's a few that stood out to me:

I hope to see everyone at our meeting next Tuesday, October 2 at 6:00 in Lloyd-Ricks Watson. Make sure you are there if you are interested in going on the New York Study Tour with us in May 2013--it's mandatory! Then, please join us after the meeting at Local Culture to help us raise money for Fashion Focus. All you have to do is buy anything and tell the cashier you are there for Fashion Focus!

Also, one last thing: tune into Mississippi Public Broadcasting tonight at 7 to see the Project Rezway recycled fashion show in which one of our students, Maegan Bedells, models her recycled project from our very own Visual Design in Dress. Project Rezway benefits Keep the Rez Beautiful, a group dedicated to preserving the Ross-Barnett Reservoir. It was a very upscale gala where complimentary food and beverages were provided by the best restaurants in the Jackson area and there was a silent auction featuring art, gift cards, vintage wines, etc. All the models had their hair and makeup done by professional make-up artists and both professional and amateur designs were featured. It's an event that everyone should consider participating in next year! For more information you can visit the website at http://keeptherezbeautiful.wordpress.com/project-rezway/ Here's a photo of our student at the event!
